3. ลดมาจากประโยค Simple ประโยค Simple อาจจะมาต่อเนื่องกันหลายประโยค และมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวข้องกัน เป็นส่วนขยายกัน อาจจะลดประโยคขยายให้เป็น Participle Phrase ได้เช่น

-They walked together. The man leads. The woman follows.
-The officers found 10 gold bars. Each bar weighs about one kilogram.
-Life depends on several factors. The most important one is the breath.
-They are studying in the classroom. Some are reading. Some are writing.
ประโยคเหล่านี้เป็นประโยค Simple (ประโยคความเดียว) สามารถลดลงเป็นส่วนขยายโดยเปลี่ยนกริยาเป็น Participle ได้ ในกรณีนี้ถือว่าเป็น Absolute Participle มีนามที่เป็นประธาน แต่ไม่มีกริยาหลัก เพราะกริยาหลักกลายเป็น Participle จากตัวอย่างข้างบนนั้น เปลี่ยนได้ดังนี้
-They walked together, the man leading, the woman following.
-The officers found 10 gold bars, each bar weighing about one kilogram.
-Life depends on several factors, the most important one being the breath.
-They are studying in the classroom, some reading, some writing.
