ระยะที่ไข่ใช้ในการฟักตัว

       ตามความเชื่อของคนทั่วไปเต่าทะเลจะฟักตัวประมาณ 2 สัปดาห์หลังจากการวางไข่ของแม่เต่าทะเล แต่จากการศึกษาผลที่ได้ คือ
o เต่ากระจะใช้เวลาในในการฟักตัวเร็วกว่าเต่าชนิดอื่น คือ ประมาณ 45-53 วัน
o เต่าตนุจะใช้เวลาในการฟักเป็นตัว ประมาณ 47-58 วัน
o เต่าหญ้าจะใช้เวลาในการฟักเป็นตัวประมาณ 60 วัน
o เต่ามะเฟือง ใช้เวลาในการฟักเป็นตัว ประมาณ 58-65 วัน
