The Ungrateful Wolf

ในตอนเย็นใกล้พลบค่ำ เด็กเลี้ยงแกะเมื่อเสร็จจากการดูแลฝูงแกะ เรียบร้อยแล้ว ก็ได้เตรียมตัวต้อนฝูงแกะของตนกลับ และได้เดินลงมาจากภูเขา " เฮ้...ใครก็ได้ช่วยที ช่วยด้วย！" เสียงนั้นดังออกมาจากหลุมสึกหลุมหนึ่ง แล้วเมื่อเด็กเลี้ยงแกะได้มองลงไปในหลุม เขาก็ได้พบว่าได้มีหมาป่าตัวหนึ่ง กำลังกระโดดอย่างซ้ำ ๆ หลายครั้งเพื่อหมายที่จะออกมาจากหลุม อีกทั้งยังร้อง ขอความช่วยเหลือไปด้วย " นั่นหมาป่านี่, ท่านกำลังทำอะไรอยู่หรือ? "

" ไม่เอาหละ ,เดี๋ยวถ้าเราช่วยแล้ว, ท่านก็จะมาจับพวกแกะกินเสียน่ะสิ "
" ไม่เลย ไม่หรอก ถ้าท่านช่วยเรา , เราสัญญาว่าจะไม่จับแกะของท่านกินจริง ๆ " เด็กเลี้ยงแกะจึงไปที่ขอบหลุมแล้วเอาเชือกผูกที่ขาหน้าของมัน จากนั้นเขาก็พยายาม ที่จะดึงมันขึ้นมาอย่างสุดความสามารถ " ปึ๋งงง！โอ๊ะ โอ้ย ๆ " แต่เชือกนั้นเกิดขาดจากกัน, ดังนั้นหมาป่าก็เลยเป็นอันต้องตกลงไปกระทบเอาเข้ากับพื้นด้านล่างทันที

คราวต่อมา,เด็กเลี้ยงแกะได้ไปยืนที่ขอบหลุมแล้วใช้มือของเขาจับขาหน้าของหมาป่าเอาไว้ แล้วดึงมันขึ้นมา ผลปรากฏว่าวิธีนี้สามารถดึงหมาป่าให้ขึ้นมาจากหลุมได้ และเมื่อมันได้ขึ้นมาจากหลุมแล้ว ก็เปลี่ยนไปในทันทีคือ ไม่ได้นึกถึง บุญคุณของเด็กเลี้ยงแกะเลยสักนิด แถมยังอ้าปากอันใหญ่ของมัน ที่มีเขี้ยวอันน่ากลัว " เจ้าคิดไม่ดี ผูกขาของข้าด้วยเชือกแล้วยังไม่พอ ยังพยายามที่จะฆ่าข้าอีก ด้วยการแกล้งทำให้เชือกขาด ทำให้ข้าต้อง ตกลงไปกระแทกกับพื้นในหลุมอีกด้วย " พูดไม่พูดเปล่า มันยังทำท่าจะกระโจนเข้าใส่ให้อีกด้วย

เด็กเลี้ยงแกะให้เป็นตกใจเป็นอย่างมาก " เราใช้ความพยายามช่วยเหลือท่าน ขนาดนี้แล้ว ท่านยังไม่คิดสำนึกบุญคุณ นี่จะมากินคนที่ช่วยเหลือท่านอีกเสีย ด้วยหรือ??" แล้วในขณะที่เด็กเลี้ยงแกะกับหมาป่ากำลังถกเถียงกันอยู่ นั้น ก็ได้มีลิงตัวหนึ่งผ่านมา และได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมด้วย " หยุดเดี๋ยว ไหนลองวินิจฉัยให้ละเอียดหน่อยซิว่าใครเป็นผู้ถูกอย่างเป็นธรรม เราจะ ได้จัดการตามความถูกต้อง ว่าใครผิดใครถูก... " ดังนั้นหมาป่าจึงได้พูดว่า

ดังนั้นลิงจึงได้พูดว่า " ไหนลองทำเหมือน ๆ อย่าง สถานการณ์ตอนนั้นอย่างที่พูดให้ดูอีกครั้งได้ไหม? เพื่อจะได้เป็นการยืนยัน ตามข้อเท็จจริงยังไง "
" ได้เลย จะได้รู้กันว่าข้านั้นเป็นผู้ที่ถูกต้อง "
ว่าแล้วหมาป่า ก็กระโดดลงไปในหลุมทันที...

แล้วหมาป่าก็พูดว่า " นี่แล้วเอาเชือกนั่นมามัดขาหน้าของข้าด้วยสิ เดี๋ยวนี้เลย " หลังจากที่ได้มัดขาหน้าของหมาป่าเอาไว้แล้ว และได้ทำท่าเป็นดึงมันขึ้นมา เด็กเลี้ยงแกะก็ปล่อยมือที่ถือเชือกนั้นในทันที
" ตุ๊บ..โอ๊ยเจ็บ เห็นหรือยังล่ะ ลิง ? ว่าข้าต้องได้รับกับสิ่งที่แย่มากอย่างที่เห็นนี่แหละ น่ากลัวจริง ๆ "
" เราเข้าใจแล้วล่ะ, อ้ายหมาป่าอกตัญญู ! อ้ายหน้าโง่ เชิญเจ้าอยู่ที่นั่น ไปตลอดกาลเลยเถอะไป ลาก่อน... "
แล้วเด็กเลี้ยงแกะกับลิงก็เดิน ร้องเพลงกันไป และก็ได้จากที่นั่นไปในที่สุด
The wolf said "Now, bind my forelimb here." The shepherd released the hand suddenly, after bounding the forelimb and pulling him up. "Daan!" "Ouch! Monkey, did you see it? After given a help, if you forget the kindness immediately , nobody will help you again.
