ข้อมูลแบ่งได้เป็น 4 ประเภท

 

1. ข้อมูลตัวอักษร  คือ ข้อมูลที่ประกอบด้วยตัวอักษรและตัวเลขที่ไม่ใช้ในการคำนวณ ทั้งภาษาไทย ภาษาอังกฤษ และภาษาต่างประเทศ เช่น ทะเบียนรถยนต์ ชื่อ นามสกุล หมายเลขโทรทัศน์ บ้านเลขที่ เป็นต้น
