People celebrate Christmas on December 25th . Christmas is the birthday   of  Jesus. Jesus was born two thousand years ago in the village of Bethlehem. Bethlehem is now in Israel. Jesus's parents, Mary and Joseph,were poor people. They arrived in Berlehem the night Jesus was born . They  had no house to stay in , so Jesus was born in stable  ( a house for animal). There was a beautiful bright star in the sky  over the stable. Many  people saw  the star and came to  the stable to see the baby. They gave him  presents  so now  we give presents on Christmas.

          On Christmas in America, Santa Claus comes at night and gives presents to all the good children. Most people have a Christmas  tree in there house. It is big , green and smells excellent. People put presents  under the tree and open them on Christmas morning. They also write long letter to their family  and friends. The colors of Christmas are  red, green and white.
